The delegation of Yugra took part on the second annual international conference "Oil and Pipeline: political. social and scientific problems in Arktika" which was held in Tromse (Norway) 20-25 January 2008.  The conference gathered more than 500  participants from 25 countries - politicians, scientists and top-managers of trans-national companies. Social, economical and cultural prospects of oil and gas industry in arctic regions were discussed on the conference. The participants representing Hanty-Mansi autonomous region made the presentation in which were described  their experience in the environment protectio and the joint ecological projects with the international organization "North Forum".
